Portrait prize

I am really pleased to say that I won a prize in the Bundaberg Art awards.   I won the Lions Club  prize for a portrait of a local identity.  $500.

My portrait seen below is a digital print of  artist Clinton Cross in his small living quarters, which he shares with all his junk, collectibles and art paraphernalia.

The Lions  Club prize also means that the work is to be  acquired to become part of the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery collection.

Jenny McDuff, who we visited at Woodgate was a worthy winner of the major prize.  Clinton picked up an award for a beach scene, and Susan also won a prize. I’m not sure what that was…either for a ceramic or a miniature. So, we locals faired quite well.

I had  been to see Jip  a day or so ago, and I finally have the right pictures to commence his  panorama.

After I took the photos Jip escorted me on a royal tour of the garden.   All was in order.
