Stolen Pumpkins!

Jip called in today as he does every month or so.  It is routine now that I give him a glass of lemonade or cordial and then he informs me of the latest news...most of which I haven't heard, as I don't have a television!

Unfortunately the news seems to always be grim, whether it be political or whatever.

Big news of Jip's week is that someone came and stole his pumpkins off the vines!  Cheeky devils!

I'm posting a link to Jip's stories.  If you haven't read them before, try to catch them, as he is s very interesting character.    c x

Visitors

Yesterday, Gallery 39 was host to visitors- Brad from ABC Open and Jess from Creative Regions.  Two people with a vision to promote the arts in Bundaberg.  Lots of ideas-lots of energy!!!!  It's great having them in our midst.

They have got me thinking about reopening the gallery.  When I get back from London, I will probably do that.

The ABC Open 'Portrait of a Stranger' project closed yesterday. It has been a fantastic showcase for photographers across the country.   As a bit of a beginner as far as photography goes, I have learnt a lot from being involved. I managed to post a final couple of photos. Thanks must go to Brad from ABC Open...his workshops were wonderful.

Visit Jip

I will try to post some better photos of Jip's house, if I can get there sometime soon.

To answer the question of how one gets invited to go through his house is to roll up and knock on his door! He loves to show visitors through!

Try to make an appointment though. Give him a little warning, so he can get prepared.

And don't throw out your old calendars. Pass them on to Jip!!

My jobs for today

*More digital art. I am trying to develop my works on a larger scale, but I don't want to loose detail.

*Find out about a projector for the digital presentation I plan to show at Gatakers as part of the exhibition.

* Mow the lawn!
